The Palumbo Family Foundation recognizes and respects your desire for privacy. This application for the Palumbo Family Foundation scholarship requires the submission of personal and financial information. The Palumbo Family Foundation keeps all submitted information confidential. Only authorized persons with a need and right to know will be permitted access to this information.
Consent Statement
To begin the online application process, you must read and agree to the consent statement below.I understand that my electronic application contains confidential personal data, including financial data, about me and my family. I hereby authorize the Palumbo Family Foundation to review the information in my application for the purpose of determining my eligibility for the scholarships. I also understand and agree that the Palumbo Family Foundation may transfer, store, process my application data in any of its offices only in conjunction with the selection process for the scholarships. I acknowledge that the Palumbo Family Foundation may use information submitted in this application for statistical and analytical purposes. If selected as a finalist, I consent to my name and application identification number being posted by the Palumbo Family Foundation on this website. I verify that I have read, understand, and agree to the guidelines for this program.
By submitting an application, I consent to the statement above and to the guidelines for the Palumbo Family Foundation scholarships.
Awards
The Palumbo Family Foundation will award scholarships in a minimum of $500 to a maximum of $10,000. The amount of the awarded scholarship is based on the number of finalist. The scholarships are non-renewal, but students may reapply in subsequent years.Application
To be considered for a scholarship, an application must be submitted
online between the dates of January 1 through March 31, 2012. We
strongly encourage students to submit their application well before the
application deadline.
By April 30, 2012, all applicants will be notified by email whether they
have been selected as a finalist. Only finalist will be required to mail
the following additional documentation to the Palumbo Family Foundation.
- IRS 1040 tax form for 2011 showing a combined household adjusted gross income of $44,700 or less on which the applicant is claimed as a federal tax exemption.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Current complete transcript(s) of grades (including grading scale) or GED test scores. Online transcripts must display the student name, school name, grade and credit hours earned for each course and the term in which each course was taken. The Palumbo Family Foundation reserves the right to verify all information on transcripts.
- Two or more letters of recommendation from a facilty member.
- To receive consideration for a scholarship, only applicants who are notified that they have been accepted as a finalist must mail the required documents postmarked by May 10th.
Selection of Recipients
Scholarship awards will be based on the applicants:
- Past academic performance and future potential.
- Leadership and participation in school and community activities.
- Work experience.
- Career and educational aspirations and goals.
By June 30, 2012 the Palumbo Family Foundation will notify all finalists whether they have been selected to receive an award and the amount of the scholarship.
Payment of Scholarships
Each recipient's school of choice will receive a check mailed by August 31, 2012 or as required by college payment deadlines. The check will be made payable to the school for the student and mailed directly to the school based on information provided by the student at the time of scholarship acceptance.Obligations
The Palumbo Family Foundation scholarship must be used for tuition, room and board, and/or non-taxable educational expenses as specified in the Revenue Act of 1986.Finalist must supply the Palumbo Family Foundation with additional documentation requested in the application and notify the Palumbo Family Foundation of any change of address, school enrollment, or other relevant information.
Students who accept a scholarship grants the Palumbo Family Foundation permission to use their names, photos, and testimonials for publicity purposes.

Please read these important reminders:You, the applicant, are responsible for completing and submitting all information required.
You must provide a valid active email address. Notification throughout the application process will be by email. Students who fail to use a valid active email address that will accommodate bulk mail or who fails to check the email account regularly may not receive consideration. Be sure to add scholarship@palumbofoundation.org to your email contacts or address book.
Carefully review your entire application before submitting it. Once the application is submitted, no revisions can be made. We recommend that you print a hard copy of your application to retain for your records. Do not send a printed copy to the Palumbo Family Foundation.
Selection is a two step process. The Palumbo Family Foundation will review all applications and select finalist for the scholarship awards. Only finalist will be required to submit supporting documents to verify information provided on the electronic application. Please do not mail any materials to the Palumbo Family Foundation in conjunction with your electronic application.
